MWM 2 G
|
 |
| Our scanning microwave microscope MWM 2 G is a small yet versatile
tool to investigate the electric and magnetic properties of surfaces of
(flat) samples. The microscope consists of a quarter-wavelength resonator
which scans the sample under test. Inhomogeneities in the sample's
conductivity or permittivity change the resonant frequency and/or quality
factor of the resonator and can thus be imaged. The MWM 2 G operates
at a frequency of 2 GHz. Better than ten micrometer spatial resolution
can be achieved. The microscope is controlled by a standard personal
computer via the serial port. Translation stages with a travel of
10 cm by 10 cm and a minimum step size of 2.5 micron are available.
The microscope uses our RE 2 G electronics for reading out the resonator
and controlling the translation stage. The electronics is also available
separately. |
